Clowns of our own device

Have you ever watch how clowns or circus performers tried to juggle balls, fire hoops etc in their hands? I once tried learning how to juggle 3 balls like what the clowns used to do. Have you ever tried doing it? Well after a few tries I find that I couldn't master it very well, I decided to quit. Or simply I do not have the patience to master the skills of juggling.

Well many a times I find that in life we may inevitably became clowns of our own device. There are so many issues in life that we have to juggle with. Family, relationship, church, ministry, school work, career etc etc. So many of these I would consider them "fires hoops" that we have to juggle. That sometimes it hurts. If we would to make one silly mistakes.

So are we clowns or not? Let me recommend you to look at life in another angle? We love to see clowns making a fool of themselves. Making funny faces & actions to keep us jovial. As you can see for the clowns their career is based on how much of their humor can they sell. We are the customers of their humor. Their rice bowl is their ability to generate laughter and put a smile on the audiences' face. Our job is only to laugh, and to us it seems to be so easy for them to juggle and to fire up the atmosphere in the circus. But to the clowns they spend so much time & effort practicing & practicing, making sure that they perfect every actions. Years of effort put in just for a few hours of performance.

Don't you think that these same view applies very well in life? Alot of times when we look at ourselves we seems to have a lot of major concerns requiring our attentions. Yet when others view us from the outside, to them it seems like no big deal. They have been through tougher times as compared to us.
They will always say:
"ai ya last time I also like that, I am far worst then you? But look at what God has done for me? Trust God ok?"
"chey you call this stress, last time I worst than you lei, I been through this & that."
"do you know why God allows failures? Because He knows that you will study harder this time round."
"ok la, you will pull through one la. Last time I also like you, but God has been faithful."
"God has a purpose for everything, trust God."

Yup all these advises & Godly councils are good. I am not penalizing them in anyway. Just that to me it is like rubbing salt on wound. Yes !!! I know that, you know that you know you have been through this before. But that doesn't mean I do not understand. Alot of times I myself have been through similar situations in my own life. Just that when we thought that we have been through this before we assume that we will be able to handle it better this time. Yet everytime it became a bigger hit on us. Just like the clowns from juggling balls they have to progress to juggle fires in order to draw crowds in.

Well to juggle 3, 4 or 5 balls is easy. It just takes a little more time & patience, and sooner or later once you catch the technique you will be able to juggle, no sweat. But in life you simply do not have the answers for everything. We have to continue to juggle & juggle and make sure nothing falls. How I pray that everything will be so simple as juggling. If you put equal attention on every balls, none will fall.

But how it is to juggle issues of life? If you put more attention on one, the others will get less. When more & more issues comes in, it will become harder & harder for us to juggle. Yet none the less we have to persevere on. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

Thanks be to God. The strength is not on us but on God's grace. It is God's grace that gives us the strength to carry on. Well not that I am trying to be funny. But I got someone that can help me to juggle my life well. Someone who will always in His sweet little ways put a smile on my face. Many of you would have know who He is. Father God la.

He has a wonderful wonderful promise He has given to all of us.
Matthew 6:33 (The Message translation)
Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative,
God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out.
You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.

God is the one juggling for me. I just have to trust God. And put my attention on Him
Trust Him with a little patience. It always works.
Father help me to put my trust in you.
