Sharing on Romans 8

Romans 8 is such a wonderful chapter in the bible. That it is so hard for me to summarize what God has been speaking to me in one E-mail. But for the sake of people like you & me who hates long mails, I try my best la.

Rom 8:1-2
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the Law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 9:10
But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Thank you Father for your wonderful grace.
It is your grace that gave me Jesus.
It is your grace that saved me.
It is your grace that gave me new life.

Indeed it is because of the grace of the Father, and the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, that I am no longer condemned and that the amazing thing is that I am made righteous in the sight of the Father through Jesus.

Many of you heard me say this before that, till now I still cannot understand what made God sent Jesus? Why did Jesus want to die for us? Did you realized that God could have destroyed the whole earth with a snap of His finger and easily create another perfect world. Yet He choosed not to, but to willingly die for us.
Someone once said:
For God to create He just has to speak.
For God to save He has to bleed.

It is so much easier for Him to create then to save. Why was God so stubborn that He wants to save me? A wretch?
Don’t tell me that the answer is so simple as “For God so loved the world….” Although I have no answers for why God wants to die for us, yet deep in my heart I just know that this is the truth.

No wonder John Newton calls it; “Amazing Grace”. So undeserving of such grace, yet Father still gave it to me.
Father your Grace still amazes me !!!

Father I really thank you that you not only saved me but gave me something more, and that is sonship. To be called Your son it’s such a wonderful privilege.

Rom 8:15-17
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received a Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba. Father.” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Thank you Jesus, for giving me the chance to call God Father.

Rom 8:28
And we know that in all things God work for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.

God never promises that everything in life will work for you. But God did promise that everything work for the good of you. This verse is really very true.

As I reflected back in my army days, though its been one year already, I can still tell you that; “I STILL HATE THE ARMY !!!”
Looking back at those dark days, a period in my life where nobody cares, nobody loves, nobody even bothered. Me & myself fighting the ‘battle’ alone. A time where I cry out; “GOD !!! Where are you? Why are you doing these to me?” Literally, I became a Wounded Soldier.

Although I hate the army, I will still greatly encourage every boy (and I mean every ah boy), to go into the army. It will benefit them in life. If I have a son, I will not ask him to 'keng' but to go though the journey of what they call ‘Boys to Man’

Before I went into the army, someone told me it’s a place that can either make you or break you. Yes it did break me.

Yet thanks be to God that what was meant to break me, God uses it to restore me. After going through the army days, God gave me a new leash of courage in life. Not trying to boast but it was God that through this He made me into a man.

I am no longer afraid of failures. Yes I know I will still face failures, but after going through much in the army. What is another failure? I just know that in Christ Jesus I have all the victory. God is fighting the battle for me. All I need to do is to put my trust in Him.
Yes occasionally I still have my doubts, but I believe Father will help me to trust Him

Rom 8:31
What then shall we say in respond to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Therefore every thing in life does work for my good. And I choose to put my trust in Father.

I really love the song “You Are My All In All”, everything I would ever need in life can be found in the Father. My God is really my All in All.
The Father of my life.
The love I need in my life.
The lover of my life.
The savior of my life.
The friend of my life
Etc etc, many many more it’s impossible for me to list them all.
